Sessions. There are morning (9.00am - 12pm)(9.15am - 11.45am)(9.30am - 11.30am) and afternoon (12.30pm - 3.30pm)(12.45pm - 2.45pm)(12.45pm - 2.45pm)(Grant Barring children can also do a full day which is 9.00am - 3.00pm) sessions each day. When visiting the setting we would talk to you about the session times for your child's age group. Our tmes have changed this year to enable us to offer the grant barring children the 15hours they are entitled to, if you have any questions please feel free to talk to us.

We enjoy high staff to child ratios thanks to volunteers and parent helpers. We are also able to provide, when needed, a small number of places for all day care for families unable to access Playgroup without this facility.

The Spring Playgroup
holds up to 36 children at any one time. We have a lovely large room that enables us to keep an eye on every child, whilst also using our furniture and equipment to divide the room into lots of smaller areas offering different experiences. Children spend most of each session playing freely with their friends, under the skilled supervision of adults helping to enrich their play. They spend part of each session in small group times, where they work more closely with an adult. We are also very fortunate to have an out of ratio SENCO present 5 full sessions each week to observe/assess & assist with special needs as they arise.

Key Worker Groups.
We believe children should be allowed to learn through play at their own pace and are most likely to develop their full potential if their emotional needs are given priority. Staff, resources and time-tabling are organised to maximise learning as they play without pressure to achieve. Within each group, children have their own keyworker who takes a special interest in them and spends at least part of each session with them in small groups.
