The Spring Playgroup was founded in 1990 as a Christian outreach in the local church hall, seeking to meet the expressed needs of the local community. It became a registered charity in its own right in 1996 and moved to premises on St Nicholas School site in 1998. In 2009, we moved into our present building in the Youth and Community Centre. It continues to be a Christian playgroup, run by a Supervisor and Board of Trustees who are all practising Christians. While not all the staff are practising Christians, they do all fully support the Christian values we live by and seek to impart to the children by example.
